This rare set of two Mini VIP VO22 wall lamps was part of the VIP and TIP TOP series designed by Professor Jørgen Gammelgaard for Danish lighting manufacturer Pandul in 1982. First introduced in 1983, the VO22 is a highly versatile wall lamp that can be mounted as either an up- or downlight. Originally equipped with a black plastic press switch, the VO25 variation features a rocker switch instead. A black finish was also available by special order.
The VIP series comprises several iconic models:
– Wall VIP (wall lamp with stem)
– Swing VIP (table lamp with heavy base)
– Half VIP (sconce)
– Floor VIP (floor lamp)
– Table VIP (table lamp)
Pandul lamps are crafted to exacting standards using hand-spun aluminum shades and precision stainless steel fittings. All pieces are hand-finished and produced under license, maintaining the integrity of the original Danish designs. Alongside Gammelgaard, Pandul has collaborated with other celebrated designers including Hans J. Wegner.
