Pete Sans’ ‘Lamparamprima’ was designed in 1979. The lamp was produced during the following decade by Santa & Cole and Taller Uno. The lamp highlights Sans’s ingenious and simplified designs, which are also functional and refined in form and materials. The lightweight ‘Lamparaprima’ is composed of a thin stainless steel metal structure with wooden sockets that hold a soffit bulb. It is designed as a table or wall lamp.
Pete Sans is a self-taught Catalan designer who defines himself as an industrial sculptor and object designer. Thanks to the ‘Lamparaprima’, Sans received several awards (at e Oscar de iluminación in 1979 and at the Moving Fair in Paris in 1983), as well as many of his other designs.
