Angelo Mangiarotti (Milan, February 26, 1921 – Milan, June 30, 2012 ) was an Italian architect, designer, urban planner and academic. He is one of the most important figures in the field of architecture and urban planning, especially Italian and American (but also Japanese and European), as well as internationally recognized as one of the most influential designers of the twentieth century and one of the most important figures in design.
Artemide was born in the province of Milan in 1959 by the designers Ernesto Gismondi e. In the following years, new designs were created for Artemide’s ever-changing collections, whose spirit has always been to create original and effective lamps, including pendant and ceiling lamps, in collaboration with the greatest design talents around.
