Outlet Pamono Outdoor Facade Lamp in Copper and Glass from Westal, Sweden, 1960s

A sculptural outdoor facade light produced by the Swedish manufacturer Westal in the 1960s. The fixture combines timeless Scandinavian design with durable materials: a patinated copper wall fitting that supports a textured clear glass shade. Inside, it is fitted with its original Bakelite lamp holder. It comes from the storage of an old Swedish electrical company and has never been used, with the original paper label still attached. This lamp makes a strong decorative statement both indoors and outdoors. Perfect for adding mid-century Scandinavian character to an entryway, terrace, or architectural facade. The lamp is ready to be hardwired and enjoyed in a new setting. The Swedish lighting manufacturer Westal was founded in 1947 under the name Habo Elarmatur by inventor Holger Johansson. Initially, the company focused on indoor lighting for the domestic market, producing modernistic fixtures well-suited to contemporary tastes. In the 1960s, the company changed its name to Westal, inspired by the Vestal Virgins who tended the sacred fire in Ancient Rome. Around this time, the company shifted its focus to high-quality outdoor lighting.
