The street lamp was designed by Friso Kramer in 1960 on behalf of the municipalities of The Hague. Friso Kramer: “Just a calm, functional lamppost, which must be able to hold it everywhere and not be allowed to bite its environment.” After the success in The Hague, more and more municipalities were interested in the Lantern of Friso Kramer. And today they can still be seen in many neighborhoods. Who knows, one of them will shine in your street.
