Online Pamono Large Antique Carriage Lantern, 1920

The huge carriage lamp is adorned with decorative crowns and an imposing eagle at the top. Original glass surrounds the lamp on five sides.
Carriage lights were used to illuminate the road and indicate the dimensions of the carriage. Glass on all sides of the lantern protected the candle from the wind. In the upper part of the lantern there is an air duct for creating draft. The back cover allows you to change the candle after burning.
Later, candle lanterns were replaced by carbide and kerosene ones.
Such lamps will serve for many years, because they are out of time and fashion.
