Online Pamono Bauhaus Gray Sconce Double Wall Light by Wilhelm Wagenfeld attributed to Linder, Germany, 1950s

A Midcentury Modern double socket wall lamp/sconce dating back to the 1950s, designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld. Made of porcelain with a glossy grey glaze accentuated by two white opaline glass lampshades/bulb covers. Based on our experience so far, the gray version is relatively rare and also one of the most in demand. Executed by Linder Wandleuchten in Germany, this piece offers two E14 light sources and is preserved in excellent condition. We would like to note that one of the two glass shades contains a small air bubble. This is a result of the production process and should not be considered a defect or damage. Furthermore, it is not visually disturbing, as the bubble is located at the back and is not visible. This minimalistic wall light is suitable for various rooms, with a particular recommendation for bathrooms or as a vanity mirror light. Wilhelm Wagenfeld was a renowned German designer recognized for his significant contributions to the field of industrial design. Born in 1900 in Bremen, Germany, he was particularly acclaimed for his works in the Bauhaus style and later contributions to modern design. His notable designs include the Bauhaus Table Lamp (1924), also known as the “Wagenfeld Lamp,” the Kubus Chess Set (1928), a minimalist chess set, the WMF Tea Service (1930), an elegant tea service he designed for the German company WMF and the Wagenfeld Tableware (1938), a series of household items including glasses, pitchers, and bowls. Wilhelm Wagenfeld left a lasting legacy in the field of design and is globally esteemed for his contribution to the development of modern industrial design.
