This great wall light is adjustable in almost every position you want; The telescope arm can be pulled out till a depth of 100 cm ( incl the shade ). This arm can also move vertical along the bar that is attached on the wall. It can also swing from left to right. And thanks to the ball-socket joint the 21 cm wide shade can also be positioned in many directions!
This modernist lamp was produced in the fifties and distributed by luxury department stores at the time. The designer was Niek Hiemstra and can be mentioned in the same sentence as Wim Rietveld, Friso Kramer and Cees Braakman.
Condition: All dent free, solid, and minimal marks. All electrical parts have been checked and the light has been completely new rewired through the whole fixture. One normal E 27 bulbholder ( suitable for modern LED bulbs ). Ready for use!
Hiemstra Evolux was a progressive lighting company located in the Netherlands, founded in 1934 by Hiemstra Evenblij. Their designs were clearly influenced by Dutch and Italian designs of that time ( Anvia, Kalff, Arteluce and Stilnovo ).
