Elegant and rare French lamp; The body is in the fine porcelain of the manufacturing “Porcelaine de Paris” and rests on a solid base made of metallic fusion and finely decorated; A skilled painter has painted the entire lamp by hand by putting in the foreground an elegant bird of paradise perched on a branch, the leaves of smaller branches are painted with embossed enamel, the artist put a meticulous care in detail by choosing soft and pleasant colors. The lamp is rare because the artisans of the “Porcellace de Paris” hardly used black porcelain, preferring the white one, but this object was created between 1920 and 1925 in Paris, so a product that followed the fashion of those years in the Color, but also with the representation of the paradise bird, in fact in the early 1900s the feathers of this bird ended up enriching the caps and clothes of rich fashion. Once the bird of paradise, originally from the New Guinea, was revered by the local natives who saw in him the bird of the divinities, perhaps for his almost supernatural beauty, the bird in the baroque era was a symbol of closeness to God and detachment from world; In Europe they were admired with the name of “Silfi”, air spirits, their non-stop flight would symbolize the tenacity of faith and spirit. “Porcelain de Paris” is a term that relates to the various laboratories and decoration studies in porcelain inside and around Paris, France. It is not the name of any single company or producer and is usually applied to artisan objects of excellent workmanship products between the middle and the end of the nineteenth century, production that has also been extended in the early 1900s as shown in our lamp. The producers are in some cases anonymous and generally unknown or have only created a few and rare pieces. The ancient porcelain objects of Paris are the most desired by collectors and are present in many museums around the world. The lamp is supplied without lampshade, so that everyone can choose the color in a personal way to combine with their furniture, the photo with lampshade is only explanatory. The electrical system is working but the wiring is European, the compatibility of the voltage in the other states must always be verified by an electrician before use measurements diameter cm.16, height cm.50. For all our expeditions we use special packaging materials (wooden cases, polystyrene, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of objects.
