Hot Pamono Floral Wall Light in Crystal and Gold Metal from Maison Baguès, 1890s

Beautiful pair of sconces attributed to Maison Baguès, produced in Paris, France at the beginning of the century showing the quality and craftsmanship of the prestigious French house. The crystal leaves delicately set into the gilded metal, two spikes of crystal beads sprout from the center where crowns a beautiful central flower with cut crystal petals. To either side sprout two golden metal stems perfectly accompanied by the original equally golden textile wiring that runs along its elegant shape to illuminate the room with two faux-candle holders, with metal leaf detailing on the holder and cut crystal cover at the base. All handwork that highlights the exquisite 19th century French taste for luxury items and that fortunately can accompany our home to this day.
