Jielde ‘: At the end of 1940, tired of not finding a light suitable for her generation mechanical activity, Jean-Luis Domecq draws one. After some attempts and errors, the drawing found it in April 1950. It is perfectly combined with the characteristics: simple, robust and articulated in order to adapt to all workstations. With this great invention, from 1951 to 1952, production was able to industrialize. In 1953, he created a company dedicated to the marketing of his lamp and whose initials make the name: Ji el dé. From that date, this lamp called “standard” by customers, never ceased to be produced and evolve. He died in 1983, he will not see his successes achieved with the “standard” in 1990. Ground lamp, reading lamp, wall lamp, bright colors, the standard became loft.
