The lamp has an impressive size and it lights up a whole room. The extraordinary design combines in classic as well as modern interiors. Great to add style to an eclectic interior, as illustrated with some of the pictures.
The lamp was designed around 1965 by Italian female artist Gae Aulenti who for this particular design took her inspiration from the appearance of a bat’s shape and wings. It’s a bold design, a real eye catcher, especially with the (4) lights on. It has a telescopic stem made of stainless steel. The height can be adjusted (height can be set anywhere from 66 to 85 cm) and the lamp can be used as a table or floor lamp. Condition is very good regarding its age. It has minor wear and a couple of scratches. The colour of the base of this 1970s piece is a bit more towards the cream/light beige instead of new Pipistrello’s which are often white and glossy. It gives the piece a distinctive vintage look and a nice soft colour scheme.
Works with four small (E14 size) led bulbs.
