The square shaped, opal white plastic diffuser seems to form a falling drop. Four rotating metal holders at the corners and metal base. It perfectly works as a ceiling light/flush mount but also as an impressive wall lamp. Original label intact.
Elio Martinelli sought inspiration for his lamps in nature and simple geometric shapes. He is known as one of the first designers to use plastic as a material for lamps. “Bolla” is Martinelli’s iconic model. Renowned art museums hold multiple Martinelli Luce models in their permanent collections.
Cleaned, rewired (hardwired) and ready to use (compatible in all countries Europe, US, UK, etc.). Requires 3x E27 light bulbs (E26 in the US). LED compatible. Height (from ceiling): 21 cm/8.3’’; width: 52 cm/20.4”; depth: 52 cm/20.4”. Very good vintage condition overall. One chip that is hidden by one of the metal holders (last 2 pictures).
