Clearance Pamono Vintage Semi-Pendant by Claus Bonderup & Torsten Thorup for Ikea, 1980s

A fantastic vintage silver or chrome pendant lamp, Gubi for Ikea by Claus Bonderup & Torsten Thorup. This classic Semi pendant lamp was designed by Danish architecture students Torsten Thorup and Claus Bonderup in 1968. The design of this lamp is very clean, with a simple shape. The lamp participated in a competition by the Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1968 and won. The Semi lamp was very popular, not least during the 1980s, and manufactured in three different sizes and different colors. IKEA had the right to sell the lamp in the 1980s and it was present in many Swedish homes.

It has a fantastic shape, a round cone formed metal base, which makes it a very elegant but also very useful interior feature. This lamp will give a very nice light but is also highly decorative when not in use. The lamp has a vintage feeling from the late 80s, but it is at the same time contemporary and will very much be a decorative piece in any setting.

It is 47cm (18.50) i diameter, and 25cm (9.84″) high, it is in a very good condition, yet note that the lamp has some very faint abrasions on the top and some cery faint darker parts on the inside, yet overall is this still a fantastic lamp and in a very good condition. The lamp is wired with a black cord, and it is suitable for Sweden and many other EU countries.
